The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.</p> <p><strong>This is a contract position located in Cameron, LA.</strong></p> <p>Typical duties and responsibilities</p> <ul> <li><strong>Conduct inspections</strong>: Perform visual and technical inspections of new or existing pipelines and related facilities, such as tanks and pump stations.</li> <li><strong>Monitor construction activities</strong>: Observe and verify all construction phases, including excavations, trenching, grading, and pipe installation.</li> <li><strong>Test materials</strong>: Inspect pipes and other materials to ensure they meet quality and design specifications. Duties include:</li> <ul> <li>Verifying material test reports (MTRs).</li> <li>Checking pipe dimensions, such as diameter and wall thickness.</li> <li>Inspecting protective pipe coatings for defects and proper application.</li> </ul> <li><strong>Oversee welding</strong>: Monitor welding crews and inspect completed welds for quality and integrity. This may include:</li> <ul> <li>Ensuring welders are certified and following approved procedures.</li> <li>Witnessing and monitoring non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.</li> </ul> <li><strong>Review project documents</strong>: Interpret and verify that construction is executed according to plans, specifications, contracts, and blueprints.</li> <li><strong>Perform testing</strong>: Conduct or witness field tests, such as pressure testing, flushing, and disinfectant sampling for water and sewer lines.</li> <li><strong>Document findings</strong>: Create clear, concise, and accurate daily reports, logs, and correspondence. This includes documenting project progress, non-conformities, and corrective actions.</li> <li><strong>Enforce regulations</strong>: Ensure all work is compliant with federal, state, and local regulations and safety guidelines.</li> <li><strong>Problem-solve</strong>: Make decisions to meet field conditions and resolve conflicts with contractors to ensure compliance.</li> <li><strong>Liaise with project stakeholders</strong>: Communicate and maintain professional relationships with contractors, engineers, and client representatives.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>Qualifications and requirements</p> <ul> <li><strong>Education</strong>: A high school diploma or equivalent is the minimum requirement, with an associate or bachelor's degree often preferred for advanced positions.</li> <li><strong>Experience</strong>: Several years of experience in construction, welding, or a related field are typically required.</li> <li><strong>Certifications</strong>: Specialized certifications demonstrate knowledge and expertise.
