We’re looking for a Senior Product Owner – Sports to join our Digital Channels Product team and play a key role in delivering and evolving Veikkaus’ Sportsbook experience across our digital platforms. The role ensures front-end efforts are aligned with Digital Channels’ overall goals and long-term product vision. You’ll bridge business needs, customer insights, and front-end requirements into clear backlog priorities, leading cross-functional teams to ensure efficient execution and optimal use of capabilities. The role drives measurable outcomes that enhance player experiences in line with Veikkaus’ mission of responsible and sustainable gaming.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and manage the product backlog to balance short-term delivery needs with long-term objectives.
• Gather and translate complex front-end requirements into actionable epics that align with the long-term roadmap while enabling short-term delivery.
• Collaboratively document and prioritize front-end requirements aligned with business requirements and customer goals.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure delivery outcomes match business strategy.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, UX, and technical teams to ensure successful delivery of agreed high-quality outcomes.
• Ensure measurement of success metrics and KPIs for front-end performance.
• Ensure alignment with the long-term business roadmap while enabling short-term delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

• More than 5 years in product ownership or business analysis, preferably with front-end focus.
• Strong skills in backlog management, requirements translation, and cross-functional coordination.
• Experience with agile delivery practices and customer journey optimization.
• Experience in the iGaming industry is a strong advantage.
• Experienced in working across digital channels, including mobile apps, mobile web, and desktop, is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Product Management, or related field.

Our headquarters are located in Helsinki, Finland and we work in hybrid model 3 day on-site. But the position can be also located in Stockholm or Malta.
