Game Designer

As part of the Concept Team, you will collaborate closely with other Game Designers, Artists, and Mathematicians to create innovative gambling game concepts tailored to diverse player profiles. The position is permanent and full-time. 

The Concept Team is responsible for shaping concepts that align with market trends and player motivations. Beyond concept creation, you will work hand‑in‑hand with the Game Team to translate these ideas into engaging player experiences within the actual game. This includes defining gameplay flow, ensuring mechanics and math models deliver the intended experience, and supporting implementation throughout the development process. Game Designer is responsible for sharing and spreading gambling experience across the studio and company.

Main Responsibilities:

• Concepting and designing international gambling games in collaboration with Concept team and other stakeholders
• Supporting development teams to realize the vision and the design of the concept 
• Fun and experience of a game according to the set business case, combining target audiences, math profiles and game themes, IP and branding
• Prototyping and creating new innovative ideas
• Sharing gambling knowledge and best practices across the company

Requirements:

• You have proven experience designing real money gambling games that are live in multiple regulated markets
• You possess a solid understanding of gambling mechanics and how they shape player engagement
• You demonstrate working knowledge of gambling mathematics, including probability, RTP, and volatility and you have deep understanding how they affect player behaviour
• You bring experience in designing player experiences that drive retention and enjoyment
• You excel at documentation and communication, creating clear GDDs and concept specs while effectively presenting decisions to stakeholders
• You have hands‑on experience with game development processes, including prototyping, iteration, and production
• Excellent verbal and written English skills
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience
• Higher education degree or an equivalent amount of relevant work experience

It is a big plus if you also have:

• Experience on building game math
• Relevant programming skills 
• Experience utilizing AI and its impact on workflows

Our headquarters is in Pohjois-Haaga, Helsinki, and we work in a flexible hybrid model. To keep collaboration strong, we meet at the office three times a week.
