About this role

The Warehouse/Delivery Driver's responsibility is to drive the delivery van and truck on a daily basis. This job learns, performs, and completes assignments/responsibilities assigned during the transitional duty period. This job receives, ships, unpacks, verifies, and records incoming packages. This job verifies and receives incoming purchase orders against the Lawson system, researches packages in a timely manner that do not have purchase orders and keeps a record of incoming and outgoing shipments. This job also delivers all incoming packages as soon as possible.

Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire:
Valid Virginia driver’s license and acceptable driving record with positive points on DMV record

Valid Virginia driver’s license and acceptable driving record with positive points on DMV record

Experience REQUIRED:
Varies based on transitional duty assignment
Minimum of two (2) years of previous warehousing/receiving work experience
Previous experience using personal computers (PC) for inquiry and data entry

Experience PREFERRED:
Three (3) years of previous warehousing/receiving work experience in a hospital setting

Education/training REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or equivalent

Education/training PREFERRED: N/A

Independent action(s) required:
Responds to assignments within the timeframe established with little or no supervision.
Performs deliveries/pick-ups according to departmental standards and guidelines.
Ensures that all car maintenance and documentation is completed, as established by the department.
Handles and transports medications and related supplies.

Some shift rotations and weekends.
