Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire:
Current ARRT(S) or RDMS or RDCS certification in cardiac sonography or RVT certification as Vascular Technologist or CCI certification in medical sonography (for Sonography Supervisor only)
Current CPR Certification by American Heart Association or within 6 months of hire date
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment:
For Sonography Supervisor:
Current ARRT(S) or RDMS Certification or RDCS or CCI or RVI
Current CPR Certification
Experience REQUIRED:
Minimum of five (5) years of progressively more responsible Diagnostic Radiology experience
Experience PREFERRED:
Experience performing in a leadership role
Previous work experience in an academic medical center environment
Education/training REQUIRED:
Graduation from an CAAHEP or CMA Accredited Program in medical/cardiac/vascular sonography or
Graduation from a minimum of a 2 year JRC Accredited Program in Radiologic Technology or
Sonography that is recognized by the ARRT or JRC
Education/training PREFERRED:
Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Radiation Science or closely related field from an accredited program is strongly preferred.
Master's Degree in Health Administration, Business Administration or closely related field from an accredited program is preferred.
Independent action(s) required:
All day to day workflow coordination and team supervision.
Advice and guidance sought from Manager on an as needed situational basis and when there is a major impact on activity of the modality.
Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable):
All team members in assigned modality report to this position; day to day workflow responsibilities may be delegated as appropriate.
Supervisors are expected to cover unplanned absences for staff that may occur on any shift, as needed.
Additional position requirements:
Weekend and other after hour coverage may be required based on workload demand and teaming needs.
