About this role

The Respiratory Equipment Technician provides in an expedient manner, properly functioning respiratory care equipment by disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, performing preventive maintenance on select equipment and verifying operational readiness.

The Respiratory Equipment Technician organizes, monitors and maintains appropriate consumable and capital inventory levels. This position documents charges in the computer for respiratory care modalities rendered on the previous day.

Experience REQUIRED: N/A

Experience PREFERRED:
Previous work experience with respiratory care equipment.

Education/training REQUIRED:
High school graduate (or GED).

Independent action(s) required:
Identifies equipment repairs which can be done internally;

Ships warranty items for repair;

Determines the need to clean the laboratory and equipment areas; and

Orders items available through Central Supply.

Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable): N/A

Additional position requirements:
Employee must be able to work the day or evening shift as required.
Employee must be able to work every other weekend.
