Veterinary Receptionist, Tech Assistant
Location: Nepean, Ontario
Compensation: $17.85 to $25.00 per hour, depending on experience

Bells Corners Animal Hospital, located in Nepean, ON., is welcoming a Veterinary Receptionist, Technician Assistant to join our team. This is an exceptional full-time opportunity for an organized, motivated, and empathetic individual to join us in a very important support role for the entire hospital. In this role, you will help our clients and their pets feel welcomed and appreciated!
Assisting Veterinarians and Technicians with various tasks and the treatment of pet patients
Providing compassionate care duties, including feeding and walking patients
Placing outbound calls to pet parents for follow-up and future appointment bookings
Technical skills should include knowledge of patient care and restraint, client care, and surgical assisting
General hospital maintenance, including cleaning kennels
Enhance the client’s experience by coordinating between the clients and members of the medical team
Respond and manage email correspondence; clients, referring veterinarians & internal office messages
Requirements:
Compassionate approach to create a warm and welcoming environment for our patients and pet parents
Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a dynamic and diverse team
Ability to remain calm and efficient in stressful situations
Ability to answer a multiline phone system and track and book appointments effectively
Willingness to learn more regarding veterinary services, updated medical office procedures and assisting the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
Initiative in carrying out assignments independently
Previous customer service or front desk experience in hospitality is an asset!
Flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
