East Bay Veterinary Emergency is an ER only hospital. We are seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician (RVT) or experienced assistant to join our team. This is a part time, swing or grave position working approx. 8-16 hours per week. Hourly Rate $34-$38 DOE

East Bay Veterinary Emergency is the only 24 hour Veterinary Emergency Hospital in East Contra Costa County. We work closely with referring general practice hospitals in the area and have earned their respect. We have long term experienced staff and an excellent team environment.

As a member of the VCA team, you will support technician and doctor teams by creating a positive atmosphere for our clients and patients. Your mission will be to win the confidence of every pet parent—by delivering an outstanding client experience—so we can provide exceptional care to every patient. We want you to use the knowledge that you’ve invested your time and talent in. The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to:

. Triage

• Physical examinations and patient assessment

• Anesthesia monitoring

• Surgical preparation and assisting

• Radiology

• Laboratory work

• Venipuncture

• Catheter placement

• Pharmacy

• Patient recovery

• ICU and compassionate care of our hospitalized animal
