Company Description

Vattenfall is a leading European energy company driving the transition to a sustainable energy system. We have been electrifying industries, powering homes and transforming life through innovation for more than 100 years. We employ around 21 000 people mostly in our core markets in Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, and the UK.

Job Description

Want the opportunity to grow while working for fossil freedom? Join BA Wind as a Health & Safety Offshore Specialist and lead the culture, compliance and care that keep our offshore teams safe - enabling clean power for millions.

We are now looking for a dedicated Health and Safety Offshore Specialist to support two offshore sites in the Baltic Sea region near Denmark and Sweden.

In this role, you will serve as the primary HSE focal point for the sites, providing independent, professional guidance to site management and teams. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and continuously improving health and safety practices, fostering a proactive safety culture, and ensuring legal compliance across operations.

You will be part of the QHS Generation department, reporting to the H&S Manager Generation Nordics, and work directly with site teams to deliver expert advice on all health and safety matters.

Be in your element with BA Wind

As part of BA Wind you will play a key role in one of the most exciting pipelines in the industry with 24GW of capacity stretching out more than a decade ahead across our key European markets.

You won’t only be involved in developing projects but pioneering cutting-edge innovation, new business models and ways of working with communities and the environment. Working as part of a leading European utility also means you could be helping a growing number of major businesses and brands achieve their own sustainability goals through partnerships.

Qualifications

Your role / what will you do?

In this role, you will make a meaningful difference by being a visible and trusted H&S Specialist with presence across both offshore sites, ensuring that teams always have expert support available. You will actively champion a culture of care by leading through your own behaviour, sharing knowledge and promoting consistent use of processes, procedures and instructions. Your work will help strengthen legal compliance on site and enhance operational assurance activities. Through close collaboration with site teams and the central H&S function, you will contribute to delivering the wider H&S strategy, supporting continuous improvement and ensuring that health and safety remain at the forefront of daily operations.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Engage with site teams and the central H&S function to support H&S plans and strategy.

  • Conduct safety inspections, incident investigations and root‑cause analyses.

  • Support and help execute emergency response plans, including emergency drills.

  • Participate in H&S culture programmes and local or regional initiatives.

  • Support toolbox talks, briefings and performance meetings.

  • Perform first‑stage quality checks on H&S events and act as case handler.

  • Contribute to H&S-related aspects of contractor management, including procurement, evaluation and auditing.

  • Prepare KPI reporting for internal stakeholders and relevant authorities.

  • Conduct contractor introductions, and support project and service campaign kick‑off meetings.

  • Prepare for internal and external audits and support with follow‑up actions and NCR closure.

Who are you?

You are someone who thrives in a dynamic offshore environment and takes pride in being a visible, trusted partner to operational teams. You are proactive, structured and confident in your professional judgement - yet approachable, collaborative and committed to helping others succeed safely. You build strong relationships across different functions, communicate clearly at all levels and remain calm and solution focused when challenges arise. Most importantly, you are motivated by making a real difference: improving safety culture, supporting people on site, and ensuring everyone goes home safe every day.

Next to this you bring:

  • You have a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience within Health and Safety, preferably with of offshore wind including construction, planning, coordinating and maintenance topics.

  • Ability to prioritize own workload and organize time and tasks efficiently.

  • Full and detailed understanding of applicable H&S related legislation in particular Danish and Swedish legislation.

  • Experience managing contractors as client and/or principal contractor

  • Experience in incident investigation.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written. It is a clear advantage if it is possible to communicate effectively in Danish and/or Swedish.

  • Working level knowledge of the Office356 suite.
