In your role as Design Safety Engineer (m/f/d), you ensure machine and design safety across complex engineering projects. From early concept to site implementation, you identify risks, apply regulations, and guide teams in delivering safe, compliant, and efficient solutions.
Your Responsibilities:
Be a “Go to” person for the Sales, Service and Engineering department; you advise (multidisciplinary) based on applicable standards (ISO, IEC, EN etc.)
Audit the design safety and compliancy process from start of pre bid phase Sales, engineering onwards
Consulting & Authority for Health Safety and Risk Analyses
Consulting & Authority for mandatory DSE, deliverables (documents)
Verify safety solutions within projects & where necessary discuss these with stakeholders (e.g. Project Manager/Project Leader/Supervisors)
Setup and provide Safety Training
Execute site inspection on Design Safety (Mech/EM/Controls)
Check technical files for compliancy and prepare Declarations
Contribute to continuous Improvement of design safety and compliancy
What do we ask from you?
Completed degree in engineering or a comparable field of study
Strong knowledge of international safety regulations and standards (e.g. EU, UK, Asia, NA)
Experience in risk analysis, HSRA, and conformity assessment processes
Ability to advise on safety risks and propose mitigation strategies
Familiarity with CADRA, design reviews, and validation planning
Structured approach to planning and prioritizing safety tasks across projects
Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing
Experience in site inspections and interaction with authorities
Proactive mindset for continuous improvement and mentoring
Willingness to travel up to 35%
