Job Summary:

Receives and stocks deliveries according to standards. Maintains sanitation of storeroom area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receives and maintains documentation of goods delivered .
  • Counts and/or weighs in all deliveries verifying accuracy of shipment.
  • Unpacks items received, inspects for damage and/or defects.
  • Packs, marks and ships all merchandise to be returned to vendor.
  • Checks items received against those listed on the invoice.
  • Notifies supervisor immediately of discrepancies.
  • Inventories, stocks goods and delivers supplies and equipment to appropriate location.
  • Stores items in the following fashion: perishables first, frozen, and finally staples.
  • Stores all items in the appropriate location delivering to location as needed.
  • Stores items so that the label is visible.
  • Rotates all stock by placing newer items behind older items.
  • Returns unused supplies immediately to the proper storage area.
  • Completes inventory of stockroom per established procedure.
  • Assembles supplies per requisition/standard.
  • Assembles supplies accurately per requisition/standard.
  • Verifies completeness of orders, identifies shortages of items per standard.
  • Maintains sanitation standards.
  • Sweeps and mops floor at established times.
  • Scrubs floors as scheduled.
  • Removes trash daily or as needed; breaks down all boxes.
  • Cleans tables, counters, trash bins, equipment, and walls as assigned
  • Adheres to work schedule.
  • Initiates work processes for self and others to meet time schedules of section/dept.
  • Participates as team member of work unit/department.
  • Trains all assigned staff in storekeeping processes.
  • Recommends improvements of policies, procedures and work methods to management.
