Job Summary:

JOB SUMMARY
Calculate, prepare, and communicate estimated patient financial liability (co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance) before medical services are rendered. Act as a critical liaison between patients, clinical departments, and insurance carriers to ensure financial transparency.

  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    Analyze patient-specific insurance benefits, plan design (tiers, deductibles), and historical data to create accurate, pre-service price estimates for upcoming procedures.
    • Accesses and corrects, if needed, demographic, insurance and financial information.
    • Provides accurate account maintenance and documentation.
    • Serves as a liaison with insurance companies, third party payors, and administrative personnel.

    TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
  •  Revenue Cycle (Novice): Experience with EMR systems (e.g., Epic), insurance portals, and medical coding (HCPCS/CPT/ICD-10).
  • Understanding of insurance benefit design, copays, deductibles, and co-insurance.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information empathetically to patients.
  • Detailed Oriented with high accuracy in data entry to prevent estimation errors
