A Brief Summary of This Position:

Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Production Supervisor position for Tulsa Facility. We are looking for a highly driven individual that will supervise, train, motivate and mentor Valmont production employees and manage the production process of Valmont products.

  • Implement and assign work schedule to maximize utilization of manpower, machines, and equipment
  • Analyze setup time and ensure accuracy, review labor hours, and meet production control schedules
  • Defines expected production standards and monitors performance standards of assigned personnel
  • Ensure inspection checks and quality assurance are occurring to produce high quality products
  • Administer and support company policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner
  • Drive a culture of safety through encouraging engagement in identifying safety issues and responding with urgency to resolve safety concerns.
  • Ensure adherence to Safety policies, housekeeping expectations, and visual workplace guidelines.
  • Drive a quality mindset within team through ensuring team does not accept, make, or pass on poor quality.  Lead problem-solving to improve quality.
  • Ensure schedule adherence.  Plan staffing and cross-training to meet changing production demands.  Track & problem-solve downtime.
  • Track and problem-solve productivity.  Work with team to continuously identify and remove waste.

Other Important Details about the Role:

  • This position reports to Operations Manager and could have up to 45 direct reports
  • Observe assigned personnel to ensure proper operation of assigned equipment
  • Promote a continuous productivity improvement climate that encourages suggestions for improvement
  • Train new employees about organizational activities and safety policies and procedures
  • Administer and support company policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and 7+ years of relevant experience or Associates Degree with 5+ years relevant experience or Bachelors with 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to support divisional objectives
  • The ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner
  • The ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues
  • The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals

Highly qualified candidates will also possess:

  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook
  • A proven record of supervisory experience and must have strong leadership
  • The ability to calculate figures such as pay changes for employees, proportions and percentages, and product dimensions
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Much be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results

Work shift:

Friday to Sunday

5 am to 5 pm
