Logistic Coordination, supply chain and local items procurement function
Drive end-to-end logistics coordination and local procurement to ensure on-time, on-budget deliveries for Valmet Automation projects and service orders, in line with Valmet’s gate-based delivery model, lifecycle service approach, and Supplier Code of Conduct. The role safeguards quality, sustainability, and compliance while improving cost competitiveness and visibility across the supply chain
1. Plan, book, and track the distribution order shipments (air/sea/road) from Valmet Main Supply Center for automation systems, spares, and service materials, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery according to Valmet Jakarta warehouse and order management request.
2. Manage Incoterms, customs clearance, and local regulatory documentation; maintain trade compliance and embargo/sanction checks aligned with Valmet policies.
3. Coordinate FAT shipping readiness (packaging, labeling, documentation) with project engineering and QA, including remote FAT options where applicable.
4. Optimize inventory and replenishment for service operations and scheduled outages; drive real-time visibility and exception management with logistics partners.
Uphold HSE and product safety during warehousing/handling; escalate incidents and corrective actions.
1. Source, evaluate, and onboard local suppliers for automation components, installation materials, site services, aligned with Global Supply Chain strategies.
2. Execute RFQ/RFP, cost analysis, TCO comparisons, negotiate price, delivery, warranty, and service levels. Final confirmation to service administrator for PO issuance;
3. Implement supplier risk & sustainability due diligence (self-assessments, gates, declarations, audits where needed) per Valmet Supplier Code of Conduct.
4. Drive localization initiatives to shorten lead times, reduce cost, and strengthen resilience, while meeting global quality and sustainability standards.
5. Cost reporting and coding using internal (basware) tool for the local supplied items.
6. Collaborate with Order Management team and other stake holder for localization sourcing.1. Ensure adherence to Valmet’s Code of Conduct (fair competition, anti-bribery, data privacy, IP protection) and speak-up culture.
2. Enforce Supplier Code of Conduct across the local supply base (human rights, living wage, working hours, health & safety, environment, business ethics)
3. Contribute to Valmet’s Supplier Sustainability Engagement Program—sharing best practices and tracking improvements in emissions, waste, and resource use.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
1. OTIF (On-Time-In-Full) deliveries per project/service order and per gate.
2. Lead-time reduction & localization rate (share of local spend meeting global quality/sustainability standards).
3. Cost competitiveness: freight cost per kg/m³, landed cost variance vs. plan, savings from negotiations/TCO.
4. Supplier Performance : quality PPM, OTD %, sustainability gate completion, audit findings closure.
5. Compliance metrics: zero severe breaches of CoC/Trade compliance; e‑invoicing adoption.
