Key Responsibilities:
Perform software check out and commissioning for converting roll machines
Maintain and service customer production equipment and systems according to Valmet service procedures and safety processes
Set up machinery and provide prompt assistance to solve technical issues during testing phase and related to processes, machinery or tools at customer’s site or remotely
Carry out processes checks and quality control to improve product quality and propose improvement solutions to the customer
Perform scheduled maintenance on customer installations to ensure and optimise equipment performance
Proactively evaluate and suggest spare parts or improvements to the customer for equipment update
Carry out training to the customer’s site or in-house
Collaborate with the technical department for programming software and improve technical solutions
Ensure the achievement of predefined objectives guaranteeing customer satisfaction within the agreed timeline
To succeed in this role, you should have:
Technical school diploma or Degree in Electronic, Software, Automation, Informatics or similar fields
2-3 years of experience as Software Technician in manufacturing industry, experience in converting industry is a plus
Experience with Controls Engineering/PLC/HMI programming/Safety
Experience with Siemens S7, Tia Portal (especially CPU Siemens 1500-TF); Rockwell RSLogix 5000, Siemens WinCC, SIMATIC WinCC Unified (JavaScript)
Proficiency with MS Office 365, SAP and 2D-3D CAD
Structured approach to complete tasks accordingly to targets and schedule
Structured and systematic approach to execute given tasks;
Strong skills in complex troubleshooting
Service orientation
Good interpersonal and communication skills and proactive approach to work
Respect for quality standards and safety procedures
Strong work ethic
Availability and willingness to travel
Fluent in English and Italian
