We are currently looking for a Service Technician to join our team in Secunda, South Africa. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on technical professional who enjoys problem-solving, working on-site, and supporting customers in keeping their operations running smoothly.
Your Role
The primary purpose of this role is to maintain, repair, and service customer production equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
You will:
- Install, service, and upgrade equipment according to detailed instructions and work orders
- Perform scheduled maintenance to ensure consistent and reliable equipment performance
- Maintain accurate service records to track equipment condition and identify recurring issues
- Work independently to troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day technical issues related to processes, machinery, or tools
- Follow defined processes and work methods, with supervision provided when required
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies during all service activities
You will report directly to the Service Supervisor.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills when working with customers and colleagues
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally when required
Requirements
- Matric qualification and a Trade Test in Mechanical Engineering or Instrumentation
- Experience or knowledge of valves will be considered a strong advantage
- Availability to travel up to 15% of working time to customer sites in South Africa or abroad
- Fluency in English is essential
- A valid EB driving license is required, while a C1 license would be advantageous
- Additional certifications such as forklift and crane driving licenses are also beneficial
- Basic computer skills, including MS Office Suite is required.
