Would you like to work in close contact with customers, directly influencing their needs and satisfaction?
We are now looking for a Service Specialist to be responsible for maintenance tasks related to the air systems of paper and board machines.
Your duties will include preparing maintenance and measurement quotations, performing pre-delivery preparations, leading maintenance sites, supervising installations, and ensuring successful start-ups after maintenance and installation work, including related measurements.
Additionally, the role includes research tasks related to the air systems of paper and pulp machines. These may involve problem‑solving investigations, preliminary studies for upcoming equipment deliveries, and installation supervision and commissioning tasks related to equipment deliveries.
Our customer sites are located around the world. You will work independently or as part of a team in the customer interface and report the completed work in writing. Since the work is done at customer locations, communication with the customer is extremely important.
What We Expect From You
You will succeed and enjoy this role if you take pride in your work, have a positive attitude, and enjoy traveling. Travel days within Finland and abroad typically amount to 80–100 per year. Most trips last about one week.
A changing environment and varying situations motivate you, as being prepared for occasional urgent tasks outside normal working hours is part of your everyday work. We aim to provide the best possible service to our customers, which is why flexibility according to customer needs is important.
We expect you to have have a technical education, such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering. Knowledge of paper or pulp machines is essential, and experience with air systems in paper and pulp machines—for example in a process engineering or design role—is considered an advantage.
You communicate fluently in English, Finnish is seen as a plus; other language skills are an advantage.
In addition to maintenance and research tasks, you also handle reporting duties using Microsoft Office tools. You are proactive, customer‑oriented, and take responsibility for independently managed tasks.
