About this role

If yes, we can offer you intriguing and challenging position within a company close to customers characterized by technical expertise and business development. We are seeking Service Manager for our service organization in Northern Europe area. 

As a Service Manager, you are based in Finland, where Valmet has a large installed base across multiple customer industries. You and your team are responsible for delivering services related to Valmet DNA Machine Monitoring solutions — including system expansions, support services, and analysis services — to our paper, board, process, energy, and pulp customers. Together with your colleagues and the sales team, you manage drive service sales, service agreements, and develop the service business in the region (mainly Finland).

Alongside short-term targets, you have a clear vision for developing your team, business, and solutions over the coming years. We’re looking for someone with technical expertise and a degree (M.Sc. or B.Sc.) in mechanical engineering, automation, process technology, or a related field. A solid understanding of mechanical condition monitoring is essential.


You should also have:

  • Familiarity with Valmet Automation products (especially DMM and 6S), or other competitive condition monitoring systems and analytics

  • Knowledge of paper, board, energy, process, or pulp industries

  • Customer orientation and a sales‑minded approach with the ability to build strong customer relationships and bring new ideas, products, and services to customers.

  • Strong communication and networking skills, along with understanding of contract details

  • Understanding of financial performance and key profitability drivers

  • Ability to lead and develop a team

  • Willingness to travel within your region approx. 50+ days annually

  • Fluency in Finnish and English; Swedish is considered an advantage
