As a Senior Test Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing autonomous test systems for our DCS and automation products. You’ll be part of a diverse team of cross-functional engineers who share your passion for innovation and quality across the field of Industrial Automation.
In this role you will:
Design and develop automated test systems for industrial automation applications, including the control package, controllers, and IO system
Perform initial spin-up, validation, and debugging of prototype PCB assemblies using electronic lab equipment
Validating software and electronics designs through simulation, emulation, and testing.
Develop system and sub-system verification procedures that include unit and integration testing
Translate system requirements into robust test system designs using requirements-based testing
Drive performance and quality improvements across electronic and software systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities
Assure that appropriate documentation is generated and maintained for work performed
An ideal candidate in this role:
Leads by example and empowers their team
5+ years of relevant experience
Proficiency with schematic capture, simulation, and layout tools such as Altium/PADS and PSpice (or equivalents)
Comfort working with languages such as Python, BASH, C/C++, and C#
Experience with both linux and Windows development environments
Experience with containers, pipelines, and artifact/release management
Ability to operate and remotely control lab equipment (DMMs, power supplies, oscilloscopes, etc.)
Experience generating data analytics, reports, and dashboards
Hands-on ability/style; enjoys discovering, overcoming challenges, and innovating
A bachelor’s degree in computer or electrical engineering or equivalent
Experience with industrial automation configuration tools and communications protocols a plus
Experience supporting several concurrent projects across multiple product platforms a plus
