About this role

Are you the service-minded team player to join the EMEA performance parts customer service team?

PAC Performance parts Customer service supports Valmet spare parts and consumables sales and operations within Europe, Middle East and Africa. We are now looking for a Customer Service Specialist to join our spare parts sales team in Italy for paper and board and packaging machines.  

In this role you will handle external quotation requests and sales orders mainly to Italian customers. You follow that the deliveries are on time and keep the external customers informed. Your desk won’t be empty, there will always be new orders and inquiries as well as item related updates.

This position will be based in Lucca. Milano might be considered as additional location.

Your responsibilities

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships and networks (internal and external), and establish existing business relationships with customers to continuously generate business for Valmet
  • Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services
  • Promote and sell products according to internal guidelines, negotiate prices and delivery times as agreed, and conclude sales orders to meet revenue targets.
  • Generate sales leads, customer feedback, and information on competitor activity to respond to changing market conditions and customer demands.
  • Expedites the resolution to address customer’s needs, problems and complaints,
  • Speed up the resolution process to address customer needs, issues, and complaints, following-up daily tasks and queues in the timely manner.
  • Effectively respond to incidents and crises to minimize harm, restore operations and identify lessons learned.
  • Achieve agreed-upon bookings and sales targets within the established timeframe, and meet individual and team KPIs.
  • Ensure that statutory, customer and internal HSE requirements are met in all operations and activities.

Expectations:

To be successful in this position, you need to be customer-oriented and service-minded person with a positive “can do” attitude. You need to be a team player and good at building up your own contact network. Willingness to learn new things and ability to take responsibility are essential in this role.

In addition, we expect you to have:

  • Bachelor’s or other equivalent technical or commercial degree
  • Previous experience in similar role is an asset
  • Fluency in Italian and English both written and verbal
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Knowledge of pulp and papermaking machinery and/or processes is an important asset
  • Customer orientation and capability to work under high pressure and keeping time schedules
  • Strong problem solving, communication and decision-making skills
  • Strong organization and teamwork skills and ability to work in global matrix organization
  • Flexibility
  • Ability to learn new IT systems fast, MS Office skills
  • Previous experience on service business or engineering is considered an advantage as well as fundamentals and experience on procurement or customer service
