We are looking for a Buyer to join our team in Ovar, Portugal!
As a Buyer, you will play a key part in purchasing goods and services essential for our industrial operations.
In detail, you will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating purchase agreements with suppliers and keeping our data updated and organized to allow us to make reliable data analysis and decisions.
Additionally, you will follow key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure we maintain high quality. Daily tasks will also include indirect operative purchasing, which requires close contact with other departments, making sure everything runs smoothly.
What you need to be successful in this role
- MSc./BSc. In Engineering (preferable), Economics, Management or related field.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt well to changing circumstances, demonstrating a strong sense of responsibility and autonomy.
- Logical thinking and a practical, hands-on attitude will greatly benefit your daily work.
- Team player mindset, exceling at building relationships in a matrix, multi-cultural, international environment, and within your own team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Portuguese.
- Experience with the SAP ERP system is a plus.
- Openness to occasional travel.
