Automation Service Engineer, Vietnam (Chinese speaking)

We are looking for an energetic and talented Automation Service Engineer to join our team. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will play a key role in driving service business growth in Vietnam. This position is based in Ho Chi Minh City with occasional travel across Vietnam, Thailand, and other SEA countries.
In this role, you will work closely with customers to maximize their performance, deliver reliable automation services, and strengthen long-term relationships that bring value to both our customers and Valmet.
You will also be responsible for:
- Providing technical services such as maintenance and troubleshooting of the existing installed base. On-call service is a part of your duties.
- Participating in project implementation, installation supervision, commissioning, start-up, and documentation.
- Preparing and providing training for our customers.
- Supporting service sales to help us achieve annual budgetary targets.
To succeed in this role, beside well understanding and experience with industrial automation systems, especially with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and/or Quality Control Systems (QCS) for paper manufacturing processes, you will need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics Engineering; Industrial Automation & IT, Process Control, or relevant working experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ work experience in a relevant field as Distributed Control System (DCS) and Quality Control Systems (QCS)
- Experience in pulp and paper manufacturing processes will be an advantage but open for the experience in other industrials as well
- Willing to learn and expose to new challenges with good cooperation, positive attitude, and good interpersonal skills.
- Good communication to contribute Lead and add-on sales generation
- Good communication, interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
- Result oriented mindset and self-accountability.
- Self-driven and initiative.
- Service & Sales mindset
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Able to communicate in Mandarin Chinese
- Willingness to travel in Vietnam and abroad.
- Driver’s license and car is a plus.
- Not required to have work permit to work in Vietnam.
