Position Summary
To support the Outpatient Rehabilitation Department. Serves as a point of contact for patients, referring physician offices and insurance providers. Responsible for providing a variety of services such as: pre-registration, registration, scheduling, file management including the EMR, insurance and authorization processing, patient/department support, materials/inventory management, education/development and unit-specific tasks.

High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of formal business/medical training preferred. Completion of BA training program required. Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) certification preferred. Completion of Registration training pr
Experience
At least 3 to 6 months of experience as a Business Assistant or equivalent experience. Computer Experience – knowledge of Windows environment. Previous customer service experience required. Medical office experience required.
Skills
Customer service oriented.

Ability to pay attention to details, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.
Knowledge of medical terminology and computer skills required (ie. Microsoft Office, Excel, etc.). Completion of orientation/training as required.
