About the Role

As a Senior Business Analyst (Data & AI), you will play a critical role in delivering AI-driven initiatives directly inside customer teams, working within their environments, systems, and ways of operating. You will partner closely with business leaders, product owners, architects, and engineers to translate strategic objectives into clear, actionable requirements that enable high-impact Data & AI solutions.

You will work day-to-day with internal stakeholders, joining their cross-functional teams to shape, refine, and deliver AI-enabled platforms, automation, and analytics initiatives. This role is hands-on and delivery-focused, ensuring AI solutions are practical, operationally aligned, and successfully adopted within the customer organisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements discovery and analysis for Data & AI initiatives across multiple stakeholders
• Translate complex business needs into clear epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications
• Collaborate with Data & AI Engineers, architects, and delivery teams to align requirements with solution design and technical constraints
• Champion ethical AI practices, data governance, and data quality to ensure solutions are compliant, secure, and trustworthy
• Analyse current business processes and data flows to identify opportunities for automation, analytics, and AI-driven improvements
• Build and maintain detailed process maps, documentation, and artefacts to support delivery and long-term maintainability
• Manage and prioritise backlogs using Jira, supporting sprint planning, refinement, and delivery tracking
• Act as a key conduit between business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to ensure clarity, alignment, and momentum
• Prepare and deliver clear presentations, demos, and reports to senior stakeholders, translating technical concepts into business-friendly insights
• Identify risks, dependencies, and changes early, proposing practical solutions to keep initiatives on track

About You

• Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst delivering Data, Digital, or AI-enabled solutions
• Strong experience working in agile delivery environments, translating requirements into fit-for-purpose user stories and backlog items
• Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments, bringing structure and rigour to complex problem spaces
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a consultative and collaborative approach
• Strong analytical and investigative mindset, able to deeply understand business challenges from multiple perspectives
• Experience working closely with technical teams, including engineers and architects, across the full delivery lifecycle
• Working knowledge of tools such as Jira and Confluence
• High levels of ownership, motivation, and accountability, with a passion for continuous learning and improvement
• Interest in AI, emerging technologies, and how they can be applied responsibly to deliver real business value
