About this role

70% FTE, 8 hour day shift, Monday - Friday with start times between 6:30am - 10:00am with on-call responsibilities. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will work at the University Hospital in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) - Gastro/Endo - Procedure to: 

  • Provide care, including patient triage, procedure preparation, intra-procedure care, and post-procedure recovery phases.

  • Be an active member of the multidisciplinary team and collaborate in the development, execution, and evaluation of the multidisciplinary plan of care or critical pathway.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
Work Experience
  • 6 months of relevant clinical nursing experience Required
  • Specific to EP Lab- Previous moderate sedation experience Required
  • Additional years of relevant clinical nursing experience Preferred
  • Prior involvement in clinical procedures in area of specialty, including successful work or involvement in other hospital-wide project work Preferred
  • Experience in an academic medical setting Preferred
  • Specific to Gastro/Endo & Generations - Previous moderate sedation experience Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as eligible per state licensing regulations Upon Hire Required
  • Basic Life Support/CPR Upon Hire Required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months Required
  • Certification in area of specialty Preferred
