About this role

Work Schedule
100% FTE, Day/Evening shift. Monday – Friday, hours between 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, with a periodic weekend rotation. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

We are seeking an Outpatient Pharmacy Coordinator to: 

  • Be accountable for the operations of the assigned retail pharmacy site, including pharmacy technician supervision. 
  • Manage daily operations, maintain status as managing pharmacist per the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board (PEB) leadership and supervision of technician staff, order and maintenance of schedule II medications, ensure compliance with controlled substance policies and procedures, and quality assurance of services offered.
  • Act independently within the scope of their license and areas of expertise with the help of general policies, procedures and practice guidelines. 
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure strategic goals for the department are achieved, and operational initiatives are communicated appropriately to other employees.

Qualifications
  • Graduation from School or College of Pharmacy. Required
  • Completion of an ASHP Accredited Residency training program. Preferred
 
Work Experience
  • Three (3) years of practice as a licensed pharmacist or completion of residency training program. Pharmacy practice experience within a retail or ambulatory care setting. Required
 
Licenses & Certifications
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice pharmacy in the State of Wisconsin. Required
  • BLS required or must be obtained within 90 days. Required
