100% FTE, day/evening, 7:00am - 5:00pm. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will be working at University Hospital and Eastpark Medical Center in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a Nursing Supervisor to: 

  • Help lead the day-to-day operations and coordination of patient care service. 

  • Promote staff continuing education and evidence-based practice.

  • Facilitate communication, coordination and collaboration among disciplines regarding identification, planning and provision of high quality, cost-effective care.

  • Utilize your strong professional communication and collaboration skills to provide constructive feedback and resolve conflicts, train/mentor staff, and resolve patient concerns.

  • Be able to perform procedures, moderate sedation, critical thinking and overall flow. 

  • Be an effective member of the management team, fostering a customer/patient focused perspective and ensuring a strong commitment to organizational service standards.

Education:

  • Minimum – Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

  • Preferred – Master of Science in Nursing or relevant field.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum – Two (2) years relevant experience in clinical practice. 

  • Preferred – Five (5) or more years of relevant experience in clinical practice Management or supervisory experience with demonstrated success.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Minimum – Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin and current CPR certification.

  • Preferred – Certification in specialty area.
