About this role

Work Schedule
FTE 100%, 40 hours per week. Day shift. 8-hour shifts. You can choose your hours Monday – Friday between 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM. On-call required with 1-hour call response time.  On-call is typically 2-4 nights and 1 weekend per month, plus 2 holidays per year. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

 

Pay:

  • This position may be eligible for a $4,000 sign-on bonus.
  • Relocation assistance may be available for qualified applicants.

We are seeking a Medical Technologist (Clinical Lab Scientist, Histocompatibility Technologist, Histocompatibility Specialist) to:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of new assays and analyzers to meet the needs of an ever-evolving science.
  • Receive thorough on on-the-job HLA teaching and lab work training.
  • Demonstrate strong decision-making skills, the ability to work independently, and the ability to take on teaching/training responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology Required or
  • Bachelor's Degree must include minimally 60 semester hours or equivalent, that includes either: 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses OR 24 semester hours – 6 chemistry, 6 biology and 12 chemistry, biology, medical laboratory technology in any combination Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) Preferred
  • Master's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science (MLS) or related science or healthcare field Preferred
 
Work Experience
  • 1 year healthcare or lab related work experience Preferred
 
Licenses & Certifications
  • Certification (Medical Lab Science, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Blood Banking, Molecular Biology) by the board of American Society of Clinical Pathologists or similar agency Preferred
