About this role

Work Schedule:
100% FTE, Days. Hours are 6:00 am to 2:30 pm or 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday with a weekly rotation. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will work at the University Hospital in Madison, WI.

Pay:
Additional components of compensation may include:

  • Evening and night shift differential
  • Weekend differential

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to:

  • Maintain heating and air conditioning equipment, emergency power systems, medical gas distribution and supply systems, food service equipment, and hospital life support systems for direct and indirect patient use.
  • Perform diagnosis and repair equipment in emergency situations, monitor and make adjustments to the building(s) environment and lighting using a computerized building automation system and monitor and make adjustments to computerized, intelligent fire alarm systems.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Two (2) year Technical diploma Preferred
Work Experience
  • 2 years of maintenance experience or formal training, in a healthcare setting Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
  • Valid Driver’s License Required
