 Get to Know Your Team: 

  • UT Health East Texas EMS/AIR 1 has more than 65 ambulances, three active helicopters and one helicopter in reserve strategically located across the region and emergency teams provide rapid access to care.

Responsibilities

Performs the functions of keeping all EMS vehicles in good physical appearance and stocked with

the medical supplies and equipment to be used in the day to day operations of the vehicle crew.

Perform the functions of pulling supply orders for all the EMS stations, first responder fire

departments, administration building and the business office.


Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be accessible by telephone or pager 90% of the time.
  • Will have all units stocked and ready for service at specified times 95% of the time.
  • Work with computer 70% of the time for inventory control.
  • Keeps an up-to-date inventory for resupply 98% of the time.
  • Keeps up-to-date on required paper work for vehicle checks and supply room orders 99% of the time.
  • Maintain budget compliance 90% of the time.
  • Possess and maintain current Texas motor vehicle operator’s license and meet all company requirements according to policy.
    • New Texas residents can legally drive with a valid, unexpired driver’s license from another U.S. state, U.S. territory, Canadian province, or qualifying country for up to 60 days after moving to Texas.
    • Must obtain Texas license prior to the 60 days expiring.
