Upper Hunter Early Learning Centre - Scone
Permanent role – up to 38 hours per week


The role:
Council is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic childcare professional to undertake the above position. The successful candidate will work as part of a professional, cooperative team to provide high quality long day childcare services and education programs for children aged 0 – 6 years.

What we need from you:
All applicants should possess a current approved qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification and current working with children check.  An understanding of appropriate developmental practices for children 0 - 6 years and working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework is also essential.

About Upper Hunter Shire Council

Upper Hunter Shire is located in the Hunter Region of New South Wales, about 250 kilometres north of Sydney. It is bounded by Liverpool Plains Shire and the Tamworth Regional Council area in the north, Gloucester and Dungog Shires in the east, the Singleton Council area and Muswellbrook Shire in the south and the Mid-Western Regional Council area and Warrumbungle Shire in the west. The Shire has a vibrant rural community that has been able to develop its own unique character, with Aberdeen hosting to the annual "Aberdeen Highland Games"​; Merriwa being well known for its popular "Festival of the Fleeces"​; Murrurundi with one of the largest sheep dog trials in the state and the annual "King of the Ranges Stockman's Challenge"​, and Scone renowned for its thoroughbred horse industry and the long running "Scone & Upper Hunter Horse Festival"​.
