About this role

UPMC Corporate Construction is hiring a Project Manager, Construction Management to join our team!  This role will work Monday through Friday during standard business hours.  The position will be required to travel to Western PA as needed.  

The Project Manager will manage the construction process to provide a competitive, accurate, timely and highest of quality product for user group satisfaction under the general direction of the Program Director, Construction.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Oversee activities and performance of outside contractor forces in accomplishing contracted work.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the existing facilities and their utilization on all UPMC Hospital campuses.
  • Collaborates with construction management personnel, supply chain management personnel, outside vendors, contractors and design professionals to assure comprehensive satisfaction of the end user for all projects assigned.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all ICRA requirements.
  • Complete all necessary/required paperwork essential for all phases the projects in compliance with the established policies and procedures.
  • Manage day-to-day activities related to a variety of construction projects performing all duties in compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Assure that all construction activities are carried out in a safe and secure manner and that all relevant regulatory requirements are met.
  • Assure satisfactory completion of every project assigned including the completion of punch lists, phone and data installation, furniture and equipment placement and move-in.
  • Schedule and coordinate all Department of Health inspections and certifications.
  • Maintain budget and schedule for all projects assigned.
  • Liaison with architects/engineers as required through the design and construction process.


  • B.A. degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or closely related field and three years construction project management or related experience required 

    • OR High School and eight years' experience in construction project management or related experience is required.

       

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
     

  • Registration for Architecture or Engineering preferred.
