Casual Registered Nurse - Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (UPMC Presbyterian/7F)
UPMC Presbyterian, a Magnet designated hospital, is currently hiring a Casual Registered Nurse to support the 7F Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. Join a collaborative team dedicated to delivering life-changing care to patients with complex neurological and diagnostic needs.
Position Overview
A 10-bed unit, primarily caring for patients admitted for diagnostic confirmation of seizure disorders.
Schedule & Casual Requirements
RNs work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, to support 24/7 patient care. Candidates will be placed into one of the following casual titles based on experience and availability:
Professional Staff Nurse – Limited Casual: 30 shifts per calendar year
Professional Staff Nurse – Casual: Minimum of 36 hours in three pay periods, one holiday per year, and 24 off-shift/weekend/standby hours per quarter
Title and pay are determined by education, experience, and hours commitment with a starting rate of $37.30 per hour.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, complex environment with changing priorities and specialized equipment
Physical ability to meet job demands, including standing, walking, lifting, and positioning patients
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Current RN license in the state of practice or compact state
BLS/CPR required within 30 days (AHA-compliant); ACLS within one year of hire
UPMC-approved national certification preferred
Act 34 clearance required
