As a Senior Administrator on Duty, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth hospital operations by coordinating patient admissions, discharges, and transfers. You’ll provide interim leadership, support staff, and serve as a key resource during off-hours, holidays, and weekends.
Leadership & Support:
Act as a representative of hospital administration, providing guidance and support to staff, patients, and families. Address and resolve operational issues and ensure safe staffing levels.
Patient Flow & Throughput:
Oversee patient placement and collaborate with clinical teams to ensure efficient use of hospital resources and timely transitions of care.
Crisis Management:
Respond to urgent situations with sound judgment and coordinate with appropriate departments such as Risk Management, Legal, and Patient Relations.
Mentorship & Development:
Serve as a mentor and preceptor to nursing staff and students. Promote continuous learning and professional development.
Evidence-Based Practice:
Utilize research and data to drive process improvements and enhance patient care outcomes.

*Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
