Job Description

This part-time (.20FTE) Research Study Assistant.will work under the management of Dr. Jenny Stone on vestibular hair cell research. The Stone lab is located in the Virginia Merril Bloedel Hearing Research Center and falls under the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain laboratory equipment such as cleaning, maintaining inventory, and ordering supplies

  • Work with research team to develop, test, and maintain hardware and software to measure the vestibulo-ocular reflex (VOR).

  • Assist in analysis of VOR data inlcuding building data graphs and tables

  • Gather, record, organize, transcribe and verify the accuracy of research study data;

  • Set up and miantain research database files

  • Summarize relevant literature

  • Work collaboratively with research team to coordinate work

  • Perform related duties as required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two years of college-level course work in a relevant academic area AND one year of appropriate experience.

  • Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.

Pay Rate Information

The salary information provided below is for a full-time position and will be prorated to 20% for this part-time position.
