Job Title: Postdoctoral Research Scientist - Artificial Intelligence in Medicine
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join the Computational Pathology & AI Center of Excellence (CPACE) at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. This position will play a vital role in driving high-quality outcomes in artificial intelligence in medicine, with a focus on large language models, natural language processing (NLP), and vision-language modeling. Working under the guidance of Dr. Hooman Rashidi, Executive Director of CPACE, the successful candidate will drive impactful research and innovation at the intersection of artificial intelligence and healthcare, working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to design, implement, and optimize AI functions that align with end-user and clinical needs.
Responsibilities:

Requirements: |

* PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Health Informatics or a related field. |

* Strong expertise in AI, large language models, NLP, vision-language modeling or associated technologies, |

with demonstrated application in healthcare or biomedical domains. |

|
* Proven ability to work both independently and as a team player within a multidisciplinary research environment. |

* Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a history of scientific publications and conference presentations. |

* Experience in vision-language models, multimodality learning, and foundation models is highly desirable. |
