
ACE PEER MENTOR

Assist incoming freshmen in the ACE Program by serving as a positive role model, leading activities, and supporting their transition to college life. Ideal for students with strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.

Preferred Skills: Word, PowerPoint, Social Media & New Technology, attention to detail, strong active listening abilities, public speaking, written & verbal communication, customer focused, willingness to learn new things.
Work Schedule: Varies depending on student availability. Sunday & Saturday: No hours. Monday - Friday: Varies depending on workload. Must be available for training and work two weeks prior to the start of classes (move-in August 11, Jump Start August 14–18).
Work Conditions: Heat, cold, wetness, humidity.
Physical Demands: Keyboarding, reaching/handling, stooping/kneeling, carrying up to 10 lbs.

Pay Rate: $10/hour for weekly work after school starts; $100/day stipend during Jump Start

Application Notes: Peer Mentors begin training and work two weeks prior to the start of classes to assist with the JUMP START program. Preference given to students who have completed 60 semester hours and are in good academic and social standing (GPA of 3.0 or better).
