The role/Te mahi

Are you a skilled plumber looking for a role with plenty of variety and people interaction?

As a Plumber within the Trades Services team at the University of Otago, you will have the opportunity to work on different types of commercial and residential plumbing systems.

You will execute the planning and delivery of high-quality Plumbing and Gas work on our Dunedin Campus, including general plumbing and gas fitting repairs, maintenance, alterations and installations.

Your skills and experience/ Kā pūkeka me kā wheako

Ideally you will be a registered and experienced Plumber/Gas Fitter, with practical and sound knowledge of the sector.

Certifying Plumbing and Gas is an advantage.

Successful candidates will also have:
•    Experience in Plumbing and Gas Installation and maintenance.
•    General knowledge of materials, equipment, and sub-trades relative to the building industry.
•    Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

You will be self-motivated, energetic, and organised with the ability to produce quality work within required timeframes.

This position requires a person who can work under minimum supervision, with good communication skills, who is result focussed and client centred, as much of the work involves dealing with a variety of people around the University.

This is a permanent, full-time Monday to Friday (40 hours week) position, located in Ōtepoti, Dunedin.

The appointment range for this position is $74,059 to $90,581 per annum. On-call and overtime rates are available.
