We are excited to offer an outstanding opportunity for a hospitality professional to join one of the premium South Island employers, and one of the largest food service operations in New Zealand.
As the Conference and Events Duty Manager, you will oversee a diverse hospitality operation, responsible for conferences, events, and catered functions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• A leadership role supervising the Events team.
• Proactively engaging with University Departments to build strong relationships and create new business opportunities.
• Ensuring all Hospitality Services exceed the expectations of our clients.
• Ensuring all aspects of our services embrace and implement the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the University’s Māori and Pacific Strategic Frameworks.

We are looking for candidates with:
• Experience working in a similar environment and a proven track record in hospitality management.
• A strong customer service ethic that emphasises attention to detail and exceeds expectations.
• Leadership skills with a hands-on approach to functions and events.
• Excellent people and relationship management skills.

This is a permanent, full time (40 hours week) position, with weekend and evening work sometimes required. Based in Ōtepoti, Dunedin.
The appointment range for this role is $28.89 to $30.39 per hour. Top of Range $31.95.
