Position

Job Summary: The Evaluation Data Specialist will provide foundational support for K20 Center field staff as they deliver services to school and community partners. This includes printing, organizing, and packaging materials, facilitating planning activities for field staff, and serving as the primary contact for gathering, preparing, and entering data related to participant registration, IRB informed consent decisions, and evaluation information.

Essential Job Duties & Functions:

Communication (20%25):

  • Effectively utilize various communication tools (email, Microsoft Teams, phone) to support event preparation and data collection.
  • Navigate and leverage organizational communication platforms to facilitate seamless collaboration within the project.
  • Communicate efficiently to gather necessary information and clarify data-related requirements.
  • Provide regular updates to the team regarding event preparation and data collection progress.

Data Request Management (20%25):

  • Retrieve, collect, review, and interpret data requests from faculty and staff.
  • Oversee the collection of participant registration, informed consent, and evaluation data.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of collected data.
  • Develop and implement systems for efficient data organization and retrieval.

Data Entry (20%25):

  • Perform accurate and timely data entry for participant registration, informed consent, and evaluation information.
  • Utilize relevant software tools for efficient data management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data entry issues promptly.

Data Collection, Maintenance, and Security (20%25):

  • Ensure secure storage of data to maintain confidentiality and compliance.
  • Update and maintain data in databases to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure data quality and compliance with established standards.
  • Formulate techniques for quality data collection, emphasizing adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy.

Report Generation and Analysis (20%25):

  • Create and prepare reports, utilizing data from diverse sources.
  • Produce graphs, charts, and various documents to visualize and communicate data findings.

As Needed:

  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.


Required Education/Experience: High School diploma or GED, AND:

  • 12 months of data collection, data entry, or related experience

Skills:

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Ability to produce reports and complete work within deadlines.
  • Ability to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives.
  • Active listening skills.
  • Detail-oriented for accuracy of data and information.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive)
  • Microsoft Teams.

Certifications: None

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to engage in repetitive motions.
  • Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs. for a distance of 25 feet.
  • Classrooms or professional learning venues.
  • Communicate effectively and listen.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Sit for prolonged periods.
  • Standard office environment.
  • Use of a computer.

Departmental Preferences:

  • Demonstrated experience in working with research or evaluation data
