About this role

Essential Duties:

Support

  • Provides direct support to the Vice Provost for Academic Effectiveness.
  • Handles high pressure and sensitive matters and projects for the Office of the Provost as necessary.
  • Acts as a liaison between the Office of the Provost, and the colleges/departments on assigned areas, including academic program review, assessment, accreditation, IT, and special projects.
  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position

Administration

  • Performs day-to-day administration and coordination of department responsibilities, including scheduling meetings, drafting documents, answering phones, organizing workshops, and other office tasks.
  • Assists in the selection and/or training of assigned staff, and provides guidance on workflow and procedural compliance.

Projects/Programs

  • Prepares and maintains statistical and operational reports.
  • Assists with tracking, submitting, and processing academic reports and documents to the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education for the Norman Campus.


Required Education: Bachelor's Degree, AND:

  • 36 months project management and supervisory experience over staff or programs.

Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months relevant experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree, in addition to the 36 months of relevant experience, for a total of 84 months related experience.

Skills:

  • Experience in drafting, updating, and interpreting policy.
  • Advanced computer skills with broad knowledge of business software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Detail-oriented for accuracy of data and information.
  • General math or finance skills.
  • Familiarity with campus and University hiring processing.
  • Experience implementing and managing large, ongoing projects or programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Highly Organized.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of general University financial policies
  • Familiarity with campus and University hiring processes.
