| Position Summary | If
you've played sports before, are interested in coaching or officiating
professionally, or have a willingness to learn and want an active job - this is
the position for you! This position primarily operates during weeknights: Monday-Friday, 5-10pm. No prior officiating experience is necessary, and training in sport rules and mechanics will be provided after hire. This position requires running for extended periods of time. An applicant must be able to lift at least 20 pounds. You will never be asked to work during class times, and your supervisor will be lenient when you need time for studying or other curricular activities. Officials that have graduated have said that officiating helped them with critical thinking, problem solving, conflict resolution, communication, assertiveness, confidence, and public speaking. Opportunities to promote up within the department are available. |
