This position is responsible for the development of Advancement’s core ERP system through the designing, writing, and implementation of programmatic solutions. Selects, designs, and implements creative solutions for requirements from business functions using a variety of programming languages and/or other technical solutions. Builds consensus on solutions. Analyzes requirements for data exchange between application software and other UNH systems.

Duties/Responsibilities

System Architecture and Design (30%)

  • Through applied expertise and knowledge of Advancement systems; design and implement systems architecture over multiple systems including on-premise applications, cloud based services, and business intelligence systems. Position is also responsible for the architecture of Advancement’s transactional and data warehouses, ensuring data structures translate into highly utilized semantic/business layers for the Advancement organizations business intelligence needs. Design and develop Advancement’s BusinessObjects semantic layer to ensure BI team is capable of responding to all BI needs through enterprise tools such as WebI and Tableau.

  • Design methodology and administer the configuration management of EAIT’s systems.  Create, update and administer all aspects of the build and deployment of EAIT’s core CRM databases and applications, including data warehouse. Manage sever configurations to ensure systems are maintaining high levels of up time, are efficient, and the user experience is consistent.

Development and Analysis (70%)

  • Provide senior-level analysis and technical expertise during all phases of software development lifecycle of software solutions. Design and develop efficient and scalable database solutions using SQL Server and T-SQL.  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand database requirements and implement solutions.  Perform database optimization and tuning to ensure optimal performance.  Create and maintain database schemas, tables, indexes and relationships.  Write complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions and triggers.  Troubleshoot and resolve system issues in a timely manner. 

  • Works with UNH staff to ensure adherence to prevailing programming standards when performing analysis, writing documentation, and testing components.

Requirements

Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience in information technology field, Master’s and 6 years, or combination of education and experience equal to 12 years.

  • Expert proficiency with MS SQL Server and developing with T-SQL.

  • Expert proficiency with an object-oriented programming language such as VB.NET or C#.

  • High ability to work independently as well as in an interdepartmental team. 

  • Experience with Data Warehouse ETL development using SQL Server Integration Services.

  • Experience with utilizing REST and SOAP based web services.  

  • Experience with web development languages such as JavaScript and/or ASP.NET.

  • Experience with Blackbaud CRM SDK development.

  • Exemplary analytical and communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.

  • Experience in Advancement/Development strongly preferred but not required.

Compensation Pay Range:

$100/hour
