About this role

Shifts: 4 - 10 hour shifts OR 5 – 8 hour shifts between Monday through Friday. Holidays and call required. Call is 1 night of either primary or secondary call each weekday and 1 weekend (Friday through Monday) a month. – 40 hours a week (non-benefit eligible position)

Compensation:

 

·        Base Pay Range: $55.00 per hour

·        Automatic Tiger Flex Differential: $15.00 per hour

·        Shift Differentials:

o    Additional $2.00 per hour for evening shift

o   Additional $4.00 per hour for night shift

o   Additional $2.50 per hour for weekend shift

o   Additional $3.00 per hour for call shift

o   Compounding example: weekend nights would be $6.50 per hour

·        THIS IS A NON-BENEFIT ELIGIBLE ROLE

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

Learn the theoretical and practical application of specialty diagnostic examinations. Demonstrate a precise understanding of how data flows in and out of the modality work area. Be attentive to patient satisfaction results and collaborate with the management team on ways to improve the department in general and the facility overall. Seek ways to improve systems and services. Meet and sustain departmental expectations while completing work assignments as it pertains to patient care in an ethical manner. Maintain integrity of equipment with careful manipulation at all times. Adhere to radiation safety regulations and standards. Assist the Medical Physicist in performing quality assurance testing as needed. Maintain current certifications and licensure status. Participate in in-service education and outside educational programs. Understand time clock expectations and adhere to attendance and punctuality guidelines. Ensure confidentiality of all patient information is maintained. May complete unit/department specific duties as outlined in department documents. 


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

ARRT certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

 

6 months of experience in Radiology Specialty area.

 

Registration in a specialty area within twenty-four (24) months as a condition of continued employment in this job classification. 


 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.

 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is very active and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs. This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather will be required.
