Shift: Monday – Friday, 8 hour day shifts with possible extended hours
Department: Ellis Fischel Cancer Center Radiation Oncology
Compensation:

 

·        Base Pay Range: $28.52 - $46.52 per hour, based on experience

·        Choose Between Sign-On Bonus -OR- Retention Rewards

o   Sign-On Bonus: $10,000

o   Retention Rewards: Up to $15,000

§  Relocation Support: Additional $5,000 if moving from over 50 miles away

§  Retention Reward (Option 1): $2,000 per year for up to 5 years, totaling $10,000

§  Student Loan Repayment (Option 2): $2,000 per year toward student loans, up to 5 years, totaling $10,000

o   Note:  Details will be provided during the HR interview. Policy language is available upon request.

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Articulate precise understanding of how data flows in and out of modality work area.

 

Be attentive to patient satisfaction results and collaborate with management team on ways to improve the department in general and facility overall. Seek ways to improve systems and services. Assist with the education and instruction of student technologists and all others rotating through the area to learn.

Demonstrate ability to meet and sustain departmental expectations while completing work assignments as it pertains to patient care in an ethical manner.

 

Maintain integrity of CT equipment with careful manipulation at all times. Adhere to radiation safety regulations and standards. Demonstrate ability to prescribe low dose radiation in order to obtain quality images. Assist the Medical Physicist in performing quality assurance testing as needed.

 

Demonstrate knowledge of data flow from CT modality to PACS system and Post Processing workstations.

 

Demonstrate sustained ability when interacting with patients, to follow the AIDET principles (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Expectation and Thank You). Ensure confidentiality of all patient information is maintained.

 

Maintain current certifications and licensure status.

 

Understand time clock expectations and adhere to attendance and punctuality guidelines.

 

May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

ARRT certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

 

Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the NMTCB(CT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.

 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is very active and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs.

This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather will be required.
