As a Teaching and Learning Officer within the Academic Support Office, you'll be instrumental in supporting the School of Historical and Philosophical Studies. You'll collaborate across departments to deliver high-quality educational support, manage key administrative functions, and contribute to the continual improvement of academic services. This role offers a unique opportunity to enhance your skills in relationship management and academic programme support while working in a vibrant academic environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Relationship Management: Foster effective communication and collaborative relationships with faculty academic support staff and academic teams.
Planning, Coordination, and Support: Provide high-level administrative support for undergraduate, honours, and coursework programmes, including timetabling and examination processes.
Committee and Event Support: Assist with committee functions, Open Day, Welcome and induction programmes, and contribute to faculty publications and websites.
Continuous Improvement: Conduct ongoing reviews of processes to ensure best practices and continuous improvement in academic support services.

You will possess excellent communication skills, a strong ability to manage multiple deadlines independently, and a commitment to supporting academic excellence through collaborative and innovative solutions.
You may also:
Have tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Be skilled in exercising independent judgement and problem-solving.
Show sensitivity, discretion, and confidentiality in interactions with students and staff.
Exhibit professional and collegial behaviour aligned with the Faculty's values of diversity and inclusion.

Located in the Faculty of Arts, the Academic Support Office (ASO) supports the development, delivery and quality assurance of teaching and learning activities. The ASO manages essential functions in the following key areas: selection, scholarships, undergraduate, graduate coursework and graduate research programs, student enrichment and eTeaching and eResearch.
