As the Operations Lead, Learning Programs at Science Gallery Melbourne, you will have the opportunity to oversee the operational functions of the Learning Experiences Team, ensuring the efficient delivery of STEAM programs from start to finish. You will play a crucial role in enhancing systems and processes that connect schools to the University of Melbourne, while contributing to the strategic resourcing and evaluation of innovative, technology-rich learning programs. This role offers you the chance to make a significant impact in educational settings and collaborate with a vibrant team dedicated to creating transformative learning experiences.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Ensure Comprehensive Program Resourcing: Oversee staffing, technology, and materials for programs across various venues and digital platforms.

  • Enhance Whole-Team Systems and Processes: Ensure the efficient end-to-end delivery and logistics of learning programs – from enquiry to evaluation.

  • Lead and Support Team Operations: Direct the STEAM Technical Coordinator and Learning Engagement Officer to achieve operational targets.

  • Enhance Data Collection and Reporting: Implement improvements to evaluation methods and maintain accurate records for program delivery.

  • Foster Stakeholder Relationships: Communicate with schools to identify resource and planning needs for a seamless learning experience.

You will have a strong background in creating systems and processes for implementing learning experiences at scale, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

You may also:

  • Have vocational or higher qualifications in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics, or Education.

  • Demonstrate experience in end-to-end STEAM program implementation in informal learning environments using technology.

  • Possess strong organisational and systems thinking skills, managing multiple projects efficiently.

  • Exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaborative teamwork.

  • Have experience with educational technologies and a passion for innovative program delivery.
