Your next career opportunity 
As the Academic Product Manager at the University of Melbourne's newly created online education business, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of digital learning. Reporting to the Associate Professor of Academic Product and Student Experience, you'll lead the development and enhancement of cutting-edge online academic products. This role offers you the chance to drive innovation in curriculum design, collaborate with world-class faculty, and leverage learning analytics to create exceptional online learning experiences. You'll be at the forefront of transforming higher education, working with diverse stakeholders to implement the University's vision of leadership in online learning. Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Lead Academic Product Lifecycle: Oversee end-to-end curriculum design, from course approvals to learning design and continuous improvement. 

  • Drive Faculty Engagement: Collaborate with senior academics to embed online education best practices and foster innovation in digital learning. 

  • Enhance Online Pedagogy: Provide expert guidance on online teaching methodologies and leverage learning analytics to improve course performance. 

  • Manage Stakeholder Relationships: Cultivate strong partnerships with faculty, academic leaders, and university committees to drive strategic initiatives. 

 

You may be a great fit if: 

You are an experienced academic product leader with a passion for online education, capable of driving innovation in curriculum design while navigating complex stakeholder relationships in a prestigious university setting.  

You may also: 

  • Have a Master's degree or equivalent in Education, Curriculum Development, or a related field. 

  • Possess 3-5 years' experience in academic product management, preferably in education or EdTech. 

  • Demonstrate strong strategic planning and analytical skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and develop innovative solutions. 

  • Excel in project management, capable of executing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Have in-depth knowledge of online pedagogy and instructional design principles.
