KU Weight ManagementJob Duties:
Serve as a research dietician to deliver intervention sessions related to obesity treatment and weight loss according to research study protocols.
Assist with conducting outcome testing that may include dietary assessment, eating behaviors, and others.
Schedule participants for research intervention sessions.
Assist with recruitment, enrollment, and retention activities of participants.
Maintain accurate and detailed participant records through timely documentation and data entry, in compliance with university policies and applicable standards.
Complete required research trainings and maintain compliance with institutional retraining policies.
Adhere to all research protocols and comply with ethical guidelines and institutional regulations.

Required Qualifications
Education: Two years relevant work experience. Education may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in nutrition/dietetics.
Work Experience:
Experience working in a clinical or research setting.
Experience counseling participants with diet and eating behaviors in both one-on-one and group settings.
Certifications/Licenses:
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Compensation Statement:
The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
