The University of Iowa Health Care is seeking Patient Care Technicians for the Surgical & Trauma Care Unit (3RC) within the Medical Surgical Services (MSS) Division. Our Medical-Surgical Services Division is one of the largest in the hospital, with more than 260 of our 811 beds assigned to medical-surgical care settings.
This is a 48-bed adult surgical unit focusing on the care of surgical and trauma patients. Our staff is full of motivated individuals that are passionate about the quality of care they provide.
The Surgical & Trauma Care Unit team believes it is our responsibility to provide patient centered care that will enable our patients and their families to cope with the physiological and psychological aspects of their illness or injury. We believe that exceptional care of our patient embodies excellent clinical skills intertwined with compassionate care to achieve maximum quality of life.

Unit Staff Provides Care for Patients Who Experience:
We are looking seeking Patient Care Techs to perform specific tasks to assist members of the Nursing team in providing patient care under the direct supervision of Registered Nurses.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Percent of Time: 75%25, 30 hours per week
Schedule: Day Shifts, will include a weekend rotation and holiday rotation as assigned
